A few weeks ago, we invited creators from the Portion community to think about our digital futures and what shape the world might take in 2121. Artists are the architects and thinkers of the future, and their imagination and craftsmanship are sculpting the societies in which we will exist. This is why we've prompted creators to think about questions like...

→ How will we communicate?

→ How will cities be developed, and what will future dwellings look like?

→ Will we all have computer chips in our heads, and how will we identify with the body and the self?

→ What does the future of work and money look like? Is it decentralized?

→ What major problems exist today that will be solved by the technologies of tomorrow, and what new complications might they bring once we’re fully submerged in virtual realities?

→ Does the digital still co-exist with the physical, or do we only live in the metaverse?

For the month of January, we'll be featuring participating artists, their works, and their unique perspectives on the future. We have set no limits to what creators can imagine for our future or how they choose to visualize and communicate those thoughts through art.

Portion has curated a selection of the pieces to be exhibited in our Decentraland Museum and we will be hosting various talks and panels with creators, collectors, curators, and thinkers from across the space to meet and share their ideas.

We'd love to have as many of you join these conversations so please check out the weekly schedules below! Make sure to join us on Discord, Twitter, and Instagram for updates on programming and to see the incredible selection of artwork from across our vibrant community!

Cheers to a new year and to infinite imaginations for our future. 🥂
