To celebrate Metaverse Fashion Week, Portion is partnering up with Philipp Plein for an official metaverse fashion show on March 24 at 3PM EST.
From March 23-27, Decentraland’s Metaverse Fashion Week (MVFW22) unveils to the world the future of fashion featuring AI & robots, luxury wearables, ‘phygital goods,’ and immersive experiences. With more than 60 participating brands, artists, and designers, MVFW22 is a milestone event in the global fashion industry. A combination of legacy luxury fashion and digital-native brands will showcase their highly anticipated wearable collections, digital spaces, and breakthrough activations in Decentraland. There will be four days of full digital immersion with a vast program of shoppable shows and collections: including pop-up shops, events, concerts, and after-parties.
Today, the intersection of fashion and technology has birthed a new revolution, which blurs the lines between our physical and digital lives and allows us to expand our creativity beyond the limits of our tangible reality. Fashion has not only entered the metaverse, but it has also established itself as one of the pillars of the ecosystem. Diversity, decentralization, e-commerce, self-expression, sustainability, robotics, and community, are at the heart of this new era in fashion.
Philipp Plein Metaverse Fashion Show
To celebrate Metaverse Fashion Week, Philipp Plein will continue his fast pace in the Web3 space by establishing visibility and a footprint with an official fashion show in the metaverse.
During the show, we will feature purely digital one-of-a-kind creations in which the expertise of Philipp Plein’s fashion creativity and the unique digital art capability of the artist duo The Crypto King$ have infused. They are signature wearables created for Philipp Plein’s first metaverse fashion show with extraordinary attention to detail, each piece coming with its own unique identity.
The Plein company has already demonstrated its proactivity and success with multiple initiatives across the NFT space and in the metaverse. The brand made a $1.4M USD acquisition of a prime metaverse district covering 65 Decentraland parcels in order to develop Plein Plaza, a 120-meter-high virtual skyscraper, with the assistance of Portion. The first establishment in the building is the Philipp Plein founded Museum of NFT Arts (M.O.N.A.), designed as an open forum for the development of digital art, aimed at encouraging and showcasing both established and emerging NFT artists.
Philipp Plein's most recent NFT drop, “Lil Monster$ Gang,” took place on NFT Auction House, Portion, and resulted in over 4,000 sales and 300+ 3D Monsters claimed. The collection was designed by the 2022 established art duo “Crypto King$,” a pseudonym for the collaboration between Philipp Plein and world-renowned 3D artist Antoni Tudisco.
This eminent drop is only the beginning for Portion and the Plein Group as continued efforts and activations emerge in the coming months.
